ABOUT FINCA CHURUPAMPA
Finca Churupampa is a progressive coffee farm in Chirinos, Cajamarca, Peru run be Eber Tocto and his brothers. Since assuming operations of the farm from their parents, the Tocto brothers have transformed Finca Churupampa into a leading model for economically and environmentally sustainable coffee production.
ABOUT THE FILM
In early 2019 our dear friend Maarten Smeenk from rawpower visited Finca Churupampa in Chirinos, Peru to film a documentary in which he shares the stories of the members of the Churupampa coffee producing family and community. Alexander Nectali Santos Heredia, Rosaura Silva Lizana, Eswin Tocto Hermeo and Señor Levita Silva.
Besides truly connecting with the community, what makes this film stand out even more is that it has been shot with nothing more than an iPhone XPro and a gimbal.

ABOUT THE FILM MAKER
Maarten Smeenk has been a professional filmmaker for the past 15+ years and has filmed / produced all types of video’s for market leading brands. This docuseries has started however from his urge for more purposeful free work. Driven by a strong internal motivation to share the inspiring stories of hard working people behind our daily cup of joy.
Maarten has made a true work of art with the stories of 4 members of the Churupampa coffee producing family. Connecting with the community and discovering their personal beliefs and stories. He’ also of great value for Ikigai Coffee, producing and co creating many of our media outings.
