Pure Africa is deeply involved with farmers, cooperatives and communities in Burundi and Rwanda for 5+ years. All relationships are based on expanding a long term vision where both ends can equitably grow as entrepreneurs and human beings.
We do this by assessing the Costs of Production, providing producers with a Living Income and reward extra for quality based on cupping scores. On average this means the coffee producers receive a minimum of 60% higher than the Global C-Price and up to €1,00 extra for coffee of high quality (86 points or higher).

On top of these efforts, collaborating coop members and producers have access to micro credits, made available via the coffee trade. Farmers pay 6% interest rates compared to an average of 22% from rural banks.
In several regions, Pure Africa supports farmers with knowledge, finances and professional staff to help making a shift towards regenerative agriculture and a sustainable coffee future.
